About the salon

Allertons at Victoria Gate is less a conventional salon than a self-care department store. Hairdressing, barbering and beauty therapy sit under one roof with a cafe and a boutique, so a colour appointment can begin with breakfast and end at the skincare shelves. The Leeds flagship has been building on that idea since 2014, and a sister salon now runs in Nottingham.

The Space

The salon occupies a bright, department-store-style floor in the Victoria Gate quarter. The cafe opens from eight in the morning Monday to Saturday and doubles as a waiting area for anyone sitting out a colour development. There is step-free access throughout and an accessible bathroom, and a private hairdressing room gives a quieter option for longer appointments.

Questions and answers

Can I book online? Yes, through the salon website or its mobile app, and you can choose a specific stylist or therapist as you book.

How long does an appointment take? A cut and finish runs about an hour, colour work two to three hours depending on length and technique, and most facial or waxing slots thirty to sixty minutes.

Do you look after men and children? Yes. Barbering is a full service in its own right, and children’s cuts are available; mention a child’s age when booking so enough time is set aside.

Can I combine several treatments in one visit? That is what the place is built for. Hair, nails and a facial can be sequenced in a single booking, with the cafe filling any gap.

Do you sell gift vouchers? Yes, and they can be put towards salon services or towards products from the boutique.
